The entertainment you hire can make or break your wedding.

Your guests could leave early wishing they never came,

or staying until your last dance wishing it wouldn't end.

Planning a wedding is hard enough, but when you throw in the stress of picking out entertainment for your guests, it can be overwhelming.

You want to make sure that your guests are having fun and enjoying themselves at your reception - but how do you know they're going to have fun? How do you know if the DJ will play all of their favorite songs? What happens if there's no music playing during dinner or people start leaving early because there's nothing else for them to do? These are just some of the questions that run through most couples' minds when planning their weddings.

Havasu Wedding Entertainment LLC has been providing top-notch entertainment services for over 25 years. We specialize in weddings and understand what makes them successful. Here's what others have to say

Surprising Facts

They say hindsight is 20/20 and the following information was gathered by asking brides and grooms what they would change about their wedding if they could...

During wedding planning, brides say their highest priority is their wedding dress, attire, followed by the reception site and caterer - reception entertainment is among the least of their priorities!

When asked, 81% of guests say the thing they remember most about a wedding is the entertainment.

72% of all brides say they would have spent more time choosing their reception entertainment.

Almost 100% say they would have spent more of their budget on the entertainment.

A professional wedding entertainment company (such as Havasu Wedding Entertainment) will normally invest 12 to 20 hours to your special event, but it may appear that you are only paying for "4 hours".

"Guests are saying it's the best reception they've been to,

and we completely agree"

Frequently Answered Questions

How long have you been in the industry?

Robert started DJ'ing and MC'ing back in 1999 in San Diego, California under his original company, "Beat To Beat Entertainment". Robert has mentored DJs on a national level both on stage as a presenter at the Las Vegas DJ Expo, writing articles for Mobile Beat Magazine, and behind the scenes through his mentorship program.

Chris started his DJ career within a hookah lounge he purchased back in 2015. He quickly progressed his skills and has gone on to be the primary DJ for Nautical Beachfront Resort's "WET" (poolside).

Will you take requests?

Our purpose is to play the songs that you and your guests want to hear.  We offer the ability to take requests, which we will insert into the set when it matches the speed and genre of the request.

What are your payment terms?

All we need to get started is a $500 retainer.  The retainer holds your date and is taken out of the final balance.  Then the remaining balance can be made in payments convenient to you, provided it is paid in full at least two weeks prior to your wedding.  We try to make all payments as simple as possible, so you're free to use cash, check, debit, credit, Paypal, Venmo or Zelle.

When should I book?

Now.  Most of our clients book a year in advance. We have been known to pull off some really great last minute weddings, but generally we commend not later than 6 months before your wedding to ensure availability.

How many songs should I request?

The average song length is 4 minutes. If you provide 15 of your favorite songs, this will give us 1 hour of music and help us understand your music tastes.  We can then come up with any additional fill-in songs that fit, and put guest requests into the mix.

What DJ equipment do you use?

We use industry recognized brand name equipment, not knock-off imitations. Investing into our equipment is investing into our clients. Name brands like the Denon Prime 4 mixer board, JBL and Cerwin Vega speakers, lighting by American DJ and Chauvet, and more.

What if something happens to my DJ?

Both Robert and Chris are DJs.  In the event that one becomes ill or something catastrophic happens, we are skilled to handle the event on our own.

Can we bring our own music for the DJ to play?

We have industry music providers which fall in line with the ASCAP and BMI licensing.  For this reason, we must use the music we have obtained through our sources - but get us the name of the song in advance and if we don't have it, we'll try our best to obtain it.

Should I tip?

We do not include gratuity in the final contract price.  As a service industry, 10-20% is generally recommended if you feel your DJ did a great job, but it is entirely up to you.

Should we feed the DJ?

We generally do not have time to eat at weddings because we are so busy orchestrating the timeline behind the scenes with the other vendors.  But we do love to eat, and the food is always good - so having the kitchen staff provide two to-go boxes would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have samples of your DJ work?

Because every wedding is different, we don't want you to be turned off by something that we planned at one event, or to give away the secrets of our weddings that will make your wedding Unique, Memorable, and Magical.

We're so confident in the service we provide, that we put our money where our mouth is with our money back guarantee:

“If you’re unhappy with any aspect of our service please let us know as soon as possible during the event and we will do our very best to put it right at once. If at the end of the event you can look us in the eyes and tell us you feel that we didn't delivered the level of service you expected, and how we could improve, and we will refund you as much money as you feel is appropriate.”
